About APS

APS is a non profit organization established for photographers from the “Beginner to the Professional”.

We meet two times a month at Emory University in the White Hall building (#105), room 102 at 7:30 PM. (Enter the campus from N. Decatur Rd on Dowman Dr. It is the 2nd building on the right; parking will be on the left, 1/2 block before the White Hall building.) A detailed map is available Click here

Here is our schedule:

The 2nd Thursday of each month (except December) is dedicated to judged competitions in Black & White Prints, Color Prints, and Digital. Ribbons are awarded to the winners in each category

The 4th Thursday of each month (see calendar for exceptions) is for programs. These may include “Photo shows”, “Presentations” by members and guests, or “How to” instructional presentations.

In addition to the two basic meetings we also do Weekend shoots, Assignment competitions, and the Annual Salon Show during October in conjunction with “Atlanta Celebrates Photography”. This show, like our monthly competitions, is judged and certificates are awarded to the winners

Visit us at any of our regular meetings and look us over as many times as you wish. If you like us and decide to join the club, talk to any of the “official” looking people and they will direct you to the right person.

We have a $20 membership fee per year for individuals, $30 for a family. If you are a real student of Emory University you get away with $10.

E-mail Club Membership available for $15 / year (e-mail details)
