2010 Salon Competition

The Atlanta Photographic Society’s 2010 Salon exhibition began on Friday Oct. 1 with the hanging of 72 beautiful images; 63 color and 9 monochrome entered by 14 different club members. Once again, Ruth Gogel did a marvelous job arranging the images to complement one another.

The following Monday, two of the most conscientious and hardworking judges ever, Gary Gruby and Ellen McRaney, tackled the imposing job of scoring and critiquing all of the many worthy entries. Their extensive effort examining the images, and breaking many ties, took about 2.5 hours – clearly a new record for thoroughness, and also a testament to their strong consensus on the results.

Congratulations to all these winners.
